We worked with Lend Lease to explore design options for a new civic building for Victoria Harbour. The project is located at Dock Square and sits between a new urban park and the basin of Victoria Harbour. Facilities included a 3,500 sqm library for the City of Melbourne and an aquatic centre with a 25m lap pool, a program and hydrotherapy pool and a children’s pool and play area. An important consideration was maintaining visual connectivity between the park and the water.
