With the introduction of online and 24 hours news services, changing broadcast technologies and digital media storage, the ABC’s Parliament House Bureau in Canberra was reviewed to create a more collaborative and effective newsroom. Extra workspace was identified through the consolidation and reconfiguration of the editing booths, broadcast studios, control rooms and media archives to enable additional staff to be accommodated in physical proximity to Federal Parliament.
